Jesus Christ is God Almighty. He came to this Earth 2,000+ years ago to take care of a problem. A problem of sin. You see we all sin. As a matter of fact the Bible tells us that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Since we are sinners and God is perfect we are seperated from Him. This is where the whole Heaven and Hell thing comes in. Since we are sinners and Romans tells us that the penalty of sin is death, our result is Hell, seperated from God. However...remember how I told you Jesus came to take care of a problem? Well he came to take care of sin. So that our sin didn't seperate us from God. Amazing right? So you may be asking how did He do it? That is where the cross comes in. Jesus was born, of a virgin, you know the Christmas Story, and He lived a perfect life. Jesus didn't sin, he was completely perfect. He died on a cross, the people wanted Him there to get rid of Him but Jesus went to the cross to be a sacrifice. See during those times the people would kill animals and offer them to God as a payment of their sin (remember penalty of sin is death). Jesus since He was perfect, was a perfect substitute for us. He took our sin and paid for it. To add to that, He didn't stay dead. He rose again! Three days later as a matter of fact, Jesus beat death! So the amazing thing is that we can have fellowship with God. We can know Him, all because of Jesus and all through Jesus. For John 3:16 says... For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not persish but have everlasting life

So you may still be asking what do I do then? Believe in Jesus. Believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God, the perfect sacrifice for our sin. See He saved you, you know. From hell, so that makes Him your savior, believe in Him today!
